Job Description
Our client is a top tier Global Health Insurer with an opportunity in their UW department to handle complex medical cases and mentor juniors.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the team can meet agreed KPIs and quality standards
- Set SOPs; develop, review and conduct audit programs/processes
- Perform complex cases assessment, review on cases escalated by subordinates
- Perform tele-underwriting with external customers, handles and responds to enquiries from internal customers
- Review and streamline internal processes and synchronise them with up and downstream processes for seamless end-to-end service delivery
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and interpret figures to understand any specific issues, monitor and analyse trends
- Conduct training for internal customers and Sales on underwriting-related areas and team members on areas within their own expertise
- Participate actively and contributes fully as project team member; complete the assigned tasks and deliver planned outcomes
- Implementation of new measures to upgrade operational efficiency
Qualifications, Training and Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in medical underwriting, with at least 2 years in supervisory role
- Experience in process management and transformation will be an advantage
- Excellent problem solving skill and logical thinking
- Strong sense of compliance, ethics and integrity; hold self accountable for own decisions and actions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing and able to work under pressure with positive working attitude
- Good written English and Chinese; proficient in English and Cantonese
- Good PC skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing
