Job Description

Title: Head of Engineering

Location: Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney (Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on full-stack development of the four portals:
  • Customer Portal
  • Creator Portal
  • Producer Portal
  • Admin Portal
• Providing valuable input on execution and strategy.
• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary team members.
• Support planning and scoping of new features.
• Providing input on accessibility, feasibility, and performance.
• Contributing to internal documentation and shared code librarie

Requirements:

• Experienced Developer: at least five years of full-stack development experience.
• Passionate and Skilled: write concise, readable, and high-performing code; attention to exceptional development.
• Results-Oriented: understand the bigger picture, transform ideas into practical code, and ask challenging questions to achieve the best outcomes.
• Empowering Communicator: excellent communication skills, patience, and dedication to documentation.

Skills Required:

• Native-level fluency in English
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack web development
• Excellent communication, collaboration, time-management, and self-management skills
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience working with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms.
• Experience with source control (Git), pull request, and code review processes.
• Expertise with JavaScript frameworks (such as React or Vue.js)
• Expertise working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB or similar)
• Experience building and using APIs.
• Experience with cloud services
• Experience with Node.js and serverless functions

• Experience managing an engineering team.
• Awareness of the most established libraries, their ecosystems and how to choose between them.
• Proficiency in creating responsive, cross-browser-compatible code.
