Job Description

Title:              Assistant Actuarial Manager (Valuation)

Location:      Quarry Bay, Hong Kong

Our client is a top tier composite insurer in Hong Kong over the past decades and is looking for an experienced and confident Assistant Actuarial Manager (Valuation) to join their team.


  • Lead the production of valuation reporting on an IFRS basis, a local statutory basis, and new business
  • Produce source of earning analysis and able to point out the underlying drivers
  • Ensure timely and accurate business forecast and regulatory submission
  • Provide technical support to develop junior staff in the team


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or any relevant disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate actuarial
  • Qualified actuary in the Society of Actuaries is preferable
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads and senior managers
  • Project management experience, organizational skills and ability to think innovatively
  • Strong problem solving skills and business sense
  • High professional and ethical standards
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Actuarial Analyst
